ETIHAD TO TEMPORARILY SUSPEND ALL FLIGHTS



ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, Mar. 25, 2020 - Etihad Airways (Etihad), the National Airline of the UAE has announced temporary flight suspensions starting Wednesday, March 25th 2020 at 23:59 (UAE local time) to, from and via Abu Dhabi Airport. The flight suspensions is expected to last 14 days, with possibilities of extension depending on the Covid-19 crisis. This comes as the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, and the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), implemented a full suspension of all inbound, outbound, and transit passenger flights in the UAE.


Cargo and emergency flights will not be affected and will continue operations. This latest announcement comes as the COVID-19 situation continues to worsen as more cases are reported world wide.


Etihad will announce the resumption of services through its usual channels once restrictions are lifted.
